A video of my Unity3D HoloLens project, utilizing Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK). This video showcases the rendering of the Spatial Mapping mesh, auditory sound effects, hand interactions, particle effects, and 3D spatial anchoring to the real world.
The difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality:
Wearing a VR headset completely obscures your real-world view, immersing you only in virtual reality.
Augmented Reality only allows you to view augmentations through a phone screen or similar small screen that you hold up with your hands.
Mixed Reality brings you an experience that does not occlude the world around you, and does not limit your visibility of holograms to only a small screen. Mixed Reality brings life-like holograms directly to you, in the real world.
